ABOUT
Ihtesham Baig is an Indian film composer whose work includes music production, audio engineering, and independent filmmaking.
Whether writing for an orchestra or synthesizers, Ihtesham strives to make music that feels deeply human. Drawn to harmony and its emotional impact, he builds sonic worlds that live and breathe within films. His scoring credits include 60 BPM (2025), Directionless (2026), and Mela (2026).
Outside of film scoring, he broadens his sonic palette through independent music. In 2023, he released Cadence, an experimental electronic EP that blends techno with acoustic/orchestral textures. Later that year, he released a cinematic reinterpretation of a passage from Mishra Bhairavi Thumri by Nina Burmi.
As an admirer of storytelling, his passion for films extends into filmmaking. He served as Assistant Director and Cinematographer on 60 BPM (2025) and is currently writing, directing, and editing his upcoming short film, Somewhere Here.
Ihtesham is currently based in San Francisco.
